Mia Bonta believes in

Children & Families

Mia founded the California Legislative Children's Caucus — a bipartisan, bicameral coalition of over 40 lawmakers — because she believes every budget decision, every vote, and every policy should start with one question: is this good for our kids?

Quality child care shouldn't be a luxury. A good education shouldn't depend on your zip code. And no child in California should grow up in poverty. Mia is fighting on all three fronts — securing funding for Universal PreK, pushing landmark legislation to end child poverty, and building the early childhood systems that give every kid a healthy, supported start.

The Children's Caucus works across party lines on six pillars: early childcare, physical and mental health, education equity, youth justice and shared safety, housing security, and economic security for families.
